I was one of the early access recipient of this toolbox and found it extremely useful. It basically has a whole bunch of cleaning and classification algos.
The toolbox also allows one to extend its use with new algorithms, tweaks or to use our dataset. As long as its formatted in the same fashion.
I would strongly recommend this toolbox, if you are looking for additional material, another book worth having is Christopher Bishop’s book.

The book is too thin and covers the matlab basics in almost half of its pages! Yes, there are interesting materials and software on its site but i wouldn’t spend the money for it if knew that!

This is underwhelming and I personally don’t see much value in it.
It could, however, be a nice introduction to AI in MatLab for a novice in the computer realm as one is able to download a handy toolbox for experimentation with the purchase of this book.

A general walk through of the Matlab functions related to pattern classification, if you have any programming experience with Matlab (which you probably do if you are trying to accomplish this type of activity) the book is pretty much wasted money, other than serving as a readable reference for all the commands and options available for selection. It doesn’t cover really anything about implementation, use, or troubleshooting. Save your money unless you are a complete Matlab newbie.

It’s an paperback book that could probably just shrink down into the plastic outline notes that sells for $5 at the bookstore. It sure is a collection of the basic instruction of Matlab that you can google or go bonehead with the help feature in Matlab. Definitely, not worth the price.
